01SJ: Particle Falls

One of the many public artworks coming to Downtown San Jose during the 01SJ festival is called Particle Falls. This dynamic 8-story tall art piece displays a real time visualization of particulate pollution in the San Fernando Corridor. It can go from a trickle to a full blown waterfall depending on the amount of pollution in the air.

  1. Will this be permenant? Zer01 always has great installations but not enough of them stick around after the festival. This would be a great year-round installation.

  2. I couldn't agree more. I wouldn't mind if the piano's suck around as well.

  5. I don't think they are officially turning it on until the 15th or 16th. They may have already tested it, but won't turn it on all night until Zer01.
