Fatburger Opens First Bay Area Restaurant in San Jose

Fatburger is fast casual chain with made-to-order burgers, several different options for fries, and milkshakes. They are known for giant portions with a distinctive sweet relish and great optional toppings like eggs, guacamole, chili, and bacon. They just opened up their very first Bay Area restaurant in Berryessa (788 N. King Road). Unfortunately, I did not make it out there yet, but a few of my friends did and happened to take a few photos. The lines wrapped around the building, but I heard it was worth the wait.

Thanks to Diana and Kevin Zing for sending these in!

  1. Disgusting. I'm all for new businesses coming to San Jose, but can't celebrate a fat factory.

    1. Don't be such a baby. If it were named "Organic Burger" you'd probably be jumping for joy. All burgers are bad for you, this one just doesn't try to hide it.

  2. Finally tried it, it's actually a pretty damn good burger.

  3. Had it a few times outside of SJ. Not bad. There are better burger options out there though, IMHO.

  4. I'd be more excited to see a Chick Fil A open at SJ Market Place.

  5. Interesting location, right next to the future BART station. Transit-oriented burger development? ;)

  6. Maximum Occupant Load: 108
    Maximum Pants Load: Unlimited
