They have some VIP seating and a restaurant/bar area. iPic is a better example of something purpose-built to have a better experience. Moolah mentioned above seems like another great example.

As for parking, I always have an easier time parking in Downtown San Jose than Valley Fair, and always got the validation for free parking with Camera 12.Joshua Santoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08146556924287585958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1923860625279115418.post-59086195293067738702016-09-21T20:20:54.713-07:002016-09-21T20:20:54.713-07:00The Valley Fair Icon movie theatre is not a half-m...The Valley Fair Icon movie theatre is not a half-measure as you state. Valley Fair will be much more convenient to park at and free of charge. The setting and building will all be new and slick. Camera 12 sited the poor design of the building as one of the problems. The owner of the building will optimize the location in order to squeeze more value out of it (tear down)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1923860625279115418.post-49947793233245258212016-09-21T16:15:46.810-07:002016-09-21T16:15:46.810-07:00This would be great! Only large chains like Wanda(AMC) or Regal can take the risk, but all you get is higher ticket prices and still no more draw.

That being said I love the Alamo idea and with SJ's annual film fest (Cinefest) there is a strong culture of film here. Maybe there is a way to have a cinema in a cinema, regular style screenings and 3 on the top floor are super premium and only open Thur-Sun (and they can turn of AC to those theaters on off days)

Gold Class in Australia and Thailand has this, regular showings and gold class showings of similar or boutique films.Andrew Rivlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07169343874690176876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1923860625279115418.post-23156697366036015912016-09-21T08:46:01.609-07:002016-09-21T08:46:01.609-07:00Let's indeed hope that a luxe-theater concept ...Let's indeed hope that a luxe-theater concept can raise the capital to make this happen. I'd definitely support it. They have remodeled this theater and now serve beer & wine. It has quickly become one of our favorite "hidden gem" movie theaters. They don't have the food service that Alamo or iPic do, but do have reserved seats, and a bar where you can get drinks and take to your seat.
