B2 Coffee

I just wanted to highlight a great little coffee stand tucked in an empty corner of the San Pedro Square Market. While it may not look like much from the photo, their mocha was the best I've ever had. They also have killer scones and muffins. If you're looking for something more substantial in terms of food, the other Market vendors are in the adjacent room. I highly recommend checking this place out. I'll even go so far to say it give Philz some solid competition (I love Philz too).

The plan is to build out a permanent space for B2 using a large chunk of the vast room it is in now, right at the corner of St. John and San Pedro. I can't wait to see what the final shop will be like.

The B2 coffee stand is currently open from 7:30am-7:00pm Monday through Saturday and 9:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday.

  1. I gotta say, I don't quite understand this San Pedro Square Market. I took my family down there last Saturday (beautiful day, etc) and there is nothing there! What did we do wrong? Where is it? All I saw was the big red sign with clock and a swap meet for bicycle enthusiasts. There must be more to it. But where??? Please help!!!

  2. Right under the clock in the sign, you should be able to enter (that is where B2 coffee is), then keep on going straight to get to the main area with Vino Vino, Pizza Boca Lupo, Robee's Falafel, Little Chef, Vino Vino, and the Barber Shop. You can also enter on San Pedro Street next to Vino Vino or from the courtyard with the Peralta Adobe.

  3. Oh well, our mistake I guess. We did enter and we did see that coffee stand on the right hand side. Maybe they had some temporary walls up to keep the swap meet "localized". I don't know now. I just seemed like a small room to me. I'll try some other time. Thank You!

  4. I agree, the pace of openings has been frustrating. It seems like getting B2 up and running would be their first priority but its been an empty shell for months. And considering that side is the face of the market, that's a troubling sign. At this rate, it wont be a full fledged market for another year to two years. Its a shame.

  5. By April most of the vendors should be open except for the final B2 shop (requires restrooms and other code items to be built). Treatbot, Showroom, VeggieBox, the Raw Bar, Dios Mio, should all be available by then.

  6. April, really? Next to impossible in my opinion.

  7. Agreed.Maybe potential later on, but huge let down right now.The most fun I had there is when the taco trucks were there. How many grand or soft openings are they on now? And how many push backs? I think Axis went up quicker than this.

  8. You can see many of the other spaces being built out now in the other building. The B2 people have been waiting for the San Pedro Square Market to bring the new building up to code. Once that happens, they will start building out their space.

  9. Just my opinion, but that "shed" where the sign and clock sit is cheap to say the least. Should have went with a more permanent looking structure made of brick, steel and exposed duct work ala the 51 lofts. Probably another money saving issue by the city. I see it as a missed opportunity in an architectural sense..oh well.

  10. the city should also rehab that pathetic looking archway at santa clara and san jose. it's about to rust and collapse. and those weird paintings on the base of it are just ratty looking.

  11. I hope this does not fail like The Pavilion did.
