Soladigm Raises $55M

Soladigm manufactures energy efficient "Dynamic Glass" for buildings. The dynamic part means their glass can go from clear to dark on demand and reduce HVAC energy consumption by 25-30%. This latest round (Series D) brings their total funding to $125M.

  1. Who cares about these startup companies raising cash? We care about what's going on with San Jose, not individual companies. What a boring article!

    1. I do, the startups of today are the companies that are going to bring jobs, energy, and activity to San Jose tomorrow. Startup funding is a critical metric in the long-term success of San Jose and is also an important metric for comparison with other innovation-based cities like Palo Alto, Mountain View, and SF.

  2. California needs to have an economic development team that is serious and part of the Governor key personnel. Until that happens don't expect much of that capitol to stay in san jose. Soladigm's manufacturing facility is in Mississippi, and they gave them real money and incentives to be there. Good luck California.
