Tesla Expands Operations with New Prep and Delivery Hub in North San Jose

Happy Earth Day! Tesla has secured a large industrial facility in North San Jose to handle vehicle preparation and customer deliveries more efficiently. The electric vehicle maker leased the 107,700-square-foot building at 2256 Junction Avenue, a site owned by Prologis that will soon support hundreds of cars at once.

Planning documents outline a setup with nearly 920 vehicle storage spaces plus 117 stalls reserved for employees, customers, and visitors. The hub will manage standard servicing and repairs to ready cars for handoff, including software updates, tire replacement and balancing, and bolt-on part swaps. Buyers must book appointments in advance to collect their new vehicles. Tesla also has the option to include a showroom and offices at the site.

The project marks another step in Tesla’s growing Bay Area presence and brings convenient infrastructure closer to local owners. North San Jose continues to attract major industrial and tech tenants, and this addition fits neatly into the area’s role as a logistics and innovation corridor.

Residents who follow the shift toward electric transportation will see practical benefits as more delivery points reduce wait times and travel for new owners. The facility underscores North San Jose’s appeal as a strategic location for companies shaping the future of mobility.
