New Nightclub Coming to Downtown San Jose

An anonymous poster tipped us off on a new nightclub/bar opening soon in Downtown San Jose. They are looking for feedback on what Downtown patrons would like to see as part of this new club. So, if you'd like to influence the future of Downtown nightlife, just complete this short survey!  There are only 12 questions, so it shouldn't take more than 2 minutes to fill out.

  1. Just for fun I'm sharing what I put in the survey.

I think Downtown has enough nightclubs, and the crowds they attract are a big part of its bad reputation. I'd love to see a classy but down-to-earth dark wood lounge with microbrewery beer and creative but good mixed drinks. Something like Bourbon & Branch or Alembic in SF. My fantasy bar would also have a splash of Austin in that there'd be a stage (maybe outside in a courtyard) that would host local bands.

Would a bar like this be successful? The optimistic part of me says yes, since I'm not that weird and if I'd like something others would like it too. The pessimist says Downtown is skewed too far to the nightclub crowds my fantasy place would get lost.

  2. I'm actually in the same boat, would love to see a nighclub that has a broader appeal. A club or bar where you can actually talk to people would be ideal for me. I'm too old to go into places where you have to shout to hear all of your friends.
